Dr. Gary Borgman
Dr. Gary Borgman established this practice in 1974. He received his
veterinary training at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Following
graduation in 1969, he served as a veterinary officer in the United
States Air force at 3rd Air Force Headquarters in London, England. Dr.
Borgman has served the local and veterinary communities through
membership and active participation in civic clubs, the Chamber of
Commerce, his church, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the
Florida Veterinary Medical Association. He currently serves the state
veterinary association as a member of the Advisory Committee to the
University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Andrew Prather
Dr. Andy Prather was born and raised in Kissimmee and is a descendant of
a pioneering Osceola County family. He graduated from the University of
Florida with a degree in Zoology (1995) followed by his degree in
Veterinary Medicine (2000). Upon graduation, he completed a 13 month
rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery, and
emergency/critical care medicine at Veterinary Specialists of South
Florida in Cooper City, FL. Since then, he has been living and
practicing in the Central Florida area. He has known Dr. Gary Borgman
since his pre-school years and has been fortunate to work at Kissimmee
Animal Hospital both before and after veterinary school. He is married
to his wife Lauren, a fellow veterinarian, and has two children Luke and
Anna . His professional interests include surgery and radiology. In his
free time, he enjoys traveling, bird watching, fishing, and all sports
which involve the Florida Gators.
Dr. Michelle Bellville is a Florida native, born in Orlando and grew up
in Clearwater. She spent her first two years of college dual enrolled
at Cincinnati Christian University and Xavier University in Cincinnati,
Ohio. She then transferred to University of Florida to finish in 2005
with a degree in Zoology and continued on to receive her Veterinary
Medicine degree in 2009. She joined Kissimmee Animal Hospital in April
2010, and is interested in internal and critical care medicine,
preventative medicine, and exotic medicine and surgery. She is also
interested in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. Dr. Bellville has a
heart for missions, and has been to Mexico, Tanzania, and most recently
Uganda. In Uganda, she worked with the Karamoja Ethno-Veterinary
Program and treated horses, cows, chickens, dogs, and cats along with
ministering to the Karomojong people. She plans to return to East
Africa in the near future. She attends Real Life Christian Church in
East Orlando and enjoys singing, music, attending concerts, working out
and making jewelry. She is an avid sports fan, with football and soccer
being her favorites. She has several bonsai, yorkie-poo siblings,
Tigger and Pooh Bear, and a blue tongue skink named Spike.
Dr. Christine Ross was born and raised in Melbourne Florida. She
graduated from the University of Florida in 2006 with a degree in Animal
Science and continued on to receive her degree in Veterinary Medicine
in May of 2010. Her interests are surgery, ultrasound imaging,
cardiology, and critical care. She especially enjoys working with
brachycephalic breeds, or short nosed dogs, like bulldogs, boston
terriers, etc. She enjoys watching gator athletics, especially football
and basketball, and spending time with her friends and family. She
attends St. James Catholic Cathedral and is grateful to be able to serve
both people and their four-legged family members. She has an English
bulldog named Meanie, and two French Bulldogs, Milton and Fiona.
Ashley was born and raised here in Kissimmee, Florida. She grew up in a Christian home and is very involved in the church where her dad is the pastor. Throughout her life Ashley has had tremendous compassion for animals and always knew she wanted her career to involve helping them in any way she could. She attended Saint Petersburg College and completed her Associates Degree in Science and the Veterinary Technician Program. She joined our team in 2009 as a full-time technician, and our hospital allowed her to complete her training and lab work she needed for the online distance learning program. Ashley has two cats: Roxy, a flame-point Snow Shoe, and Presley, an Egyptian Mau mix. Outside of work, she loves doing anything that involves having fun and being spontaneous with her friends.
Tricia was born in Jamestown, New York and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida after high school. She moved back to New York for a few years but she realized she could not deal with the winters anymore. Tricia spent the next 30 years in Ft. Lauderdale with a career in insurance. Together with her husband, they retired and moved to Virginia to be near their daughter Jennifer and 2 grand-daughters (Morgan and Marlee) after her son-in-law was transferred there. Tricia took care of her grand-daughters and began working at a veterinary clinic in town. When her son-in-law transferred to Florida, she decided to move back as well, now single, to take care of the girls and eventually come back to work in the veterinary field. Tricia’s son, John, lives in Germany and is married with 1 daughter (Yvonne) and one grandson (Calvin). She has had many cats and one dog in her adult years. She enjoys running and bowling.
Sylvia was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Even as a child, she had an interest in helping animals. Along with her siblings, they brought home anything and everything with 4 legs that needed a home. Thankfully she had very understanding parents. Sylvia began her veterinary career in 1997 as a receptionist, but quickly realized that working as a technician was where she really wanted to be. She is very interested in Emergency medicine, and worked at the Baltimore Emergency Clinic for 5 years. She truly values the experience she gained in Maryland. Her family moved to Kissimmee in January 2007 to be closer to extended family and began working at Kissimmee Animal Hospital almost immediately. Sylvia met her husband while serving in the U.S. Army, and together they have 4 beautiful children and a 4 legged daughter named Raven…yes, after the football team.
Monica is a Florida native, growing up in St. Cloud. She started out in the human medical field, working as an anesthesia assistant and in cardiology for 6 years. Due to the compassion she has for animals, she decided to join the veterinary field 15 years ago and has worked with large, small, and exotic animals. She joined Kissimmee Animal Hospital in January 2009 where she says, “I meet new adventures and have a new family and knew right away they showed the same compassion I had. What I enjoy most about our hospital is our values, compassion, and being family oriented. We also have fun! There is never a day I don’t learn something new.” Monica and her husband Russ have a son named Gage and two dogs, Sal and Gus. They also take care of the occasional critter Gage catches in the yard. She enjoys fishing, camping, trail hiking, boating, hunting, and baseball with her son.
